Colombia has good card acceptance in cities. ATMs are widespread but charge fees. Cash is preferred in markets and smaller towns. Always choose to be charged in Pesos, not USD.
Tips for Colombia

- β’ Maximum ATM withdrawal often limited to ~$200 USD equivalent
- β’ Tipping 10% is customary at restaurants
- β’ Street vendors and markets require cash
- β’ Davivienda ATMs usually allow higher withdrawal limits (up to 2,000,000 COP) per transaction compared to others (often capped at 600,000 COP)
